Licenciada em Direito, pela Faculdade de Direito de Lisboa. Formou-se em Ensino de Português Língua Estrangeira no CIAL - Centro de Línguas, em 1985. Leciona Português Língua Estrangeira desde 1986 e é formadora de professores para o ensino de PLE desde 2000. Elaborou um curso à distância de PLE (A1/A2) - "Elearning" -, bem como material pedagógico destinado ao ensino de PLE (B2 e C2). Tem vários trabalhos publicados na área de PLE, nomeadamente, os títulos Português ao Vivo 3, Actualidade em Português, Português Atual 2, Português Atual 3 e Português Jurídico para alunos do PLE, todos editados pela LIDEL.
