Na Crista da Onda is a pedagogical project for teaching Portuguese to foreign students, for a young audience. This method has a communicative approach by skills and tasks (task-based), with all the proposed activities organised in order to create different pathways, leading the learner to the execution of the objectives of the final tasks and Group Work.
The Student`s Guide and the New Presentation Workbook allow a practical use in a classroom situation with students of different proficiency levels, having an approach and methodology common to all the volumes, with current, motivating and interesting themes for young people, promoting a continuity and harmonisation in the teaching-learning process.
Na Crista da Onda 4: for learners of Portuguese Language, level B2, according to the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the Reference Framework for Portuguese Language Teaching Abroad (QuaREPE). It aims to explore and develop reception and production skills, leading the student to communicate in Portuguese and allowing him/her to get to know various aspects of Portuguese culture.
O Manual do Aluno - com oito unidades, uma unidade inicial de revisão, com uma estrutura facilitadora da aprendizagem - apresenta:
· Atividades diversificadas de vocabulário, associadas a imagens e à prática da interação oral;
· Desenvolvimento da leitura: com textos que retratam o quotidiano dos alunos;
· Compreensão oral: audição de diálogos com exercícios e atividades comunicativas;
· Explicações gramaticais simples e esquemáticas de forma progressiva e adequada às necessidades de comunicação;
· Desenvolvimento de oralidade e escrita com atividades orientadas para a interação, facilitadoras da comunicação e atividades de expressão escrita de acordo com o tema abordado e aplicando os conhecimentos adquiridos ao longo da unidade;
· A dinâmica do trabalho em grupo: o aluno fala e ouve os companheiros, analisa, sintetiza e expõe, desenvolvendo várias competências comunicativas;
· Secções para desenvolvimento dos conhecimentos socioculturais através de atividades sobre aspetos e curiosidades culturais. No final de cada unidade o aluno pode avaliar o seu percurso através de um pequeno questionário de autoavaliação.
· Existem ainda duas secções dedicadas à Leitura Extensiva e a Celebrações relacionadas com a cultura portuguesa.
In the Extended Reading Unit, the student will have contact with literary texts by Lusophone authors, finding the reflection of the culture of the country in which that language is spoken, becoming aware of the different varieties of the Portuguese language, its creativity and richness.
The workbook has 89 tracks in audio format, which stimulate the development of listening comprehension, with the texts and exercises highlighted in the Student Guide, available at: www.lidel.pt/pt/download-conteudos/.
The Workbook presents complementary activities to each unit in the Student Guide, through which students can review and consolidate their knowledge of the contents covered.
The Teacher`s Guide describes the objectives of each unit and the teaching-learning strategies, proposing activities to be developed in class. It includes solutions to the exercises in the Student`s Guide and the Workbook, as well as transcriptions of the audio files. Extra resources and materials are also provided to help teachers in their lessons.

É professora titular na E.B. 2, 3 de Nuno Gonçalves onde é coordenadora de PLNM e delegada dos cursos de Língua e Cultura Portuguesa para alunos estrangeiros.
