Português em Foco 2 is the second of a set of manuals covering levels A1 to C2, aimed at teenagers and adults learning Portuguese as a Foreign Language. This book is divided into thematic areas that aim to cover the communicative needs of learners, corresponding to level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). In this way, the learner will acquire a communicative competence which will enable him/her not only to form grammatically correct sentences, but above all to interact with other speakers, using speech acts appropriate to each everyday communication situation. Português em Foco 2 also presents a Teacher`s Book which is organized according to the units of the Student`s Book.
Português em Foco 2 - Exercise Book presents a diverse set of exercises that make the connection with the Student`s Book, consolidating the contents developed in each unit. This notebook can be used in class or as work to be done extra class. It contains varied vocabulary exercises, dialogues and texts to work on the contents of each unit, grammar exercises and the respective solutions.

LUÍSA COELHO
Licenciada em Línguas e Literaturas Modernas e mestre em Comunicação Educacional Multimédia. Foi docente de Português Língua Estrangeira de 1983 a 2015 no Instituto de Cultura e Língua Portuguesa, na Faculdade de Letras de Lisboa. É também autora de diversos materiais didáticos para o Português Língua Estrangeira.

CARLA OLIVEIRA
Licenciada em Língua e Cultura Portuguesa pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa e especialista na área de Português Língua Estrangeira. Desde 1992, tem lecionado nos cursos de Português para Estrangeiros do Instituto de Cultura e Língua Portuguesa da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa. Nos últimos anos tem-se dedicado à produção de materiais didáticos específicos para o ensino do Português Língua Estrangeira.

JOÃO MALACA CASTELEIRO
Licenciado em Filologia Românica e Doutorado em Linguística Portuguesa pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa. Professor catedrático (jubilado) da mesma faculdade. Autor e coautor de uma vasta bibliografia nos domínios da sintaxe, do léxico, da ortografia e do ensino do Português Língua Materna e Língua Estrangeira.
