Português em Foco 3 is the third in a series of coursebooks covering levels A1 to C2, aimed at teenagers and adult learners of Portuguese as a Foreign Language. It is divided into thematic areas which aim to cover the communicative needs of learners, corresponding to level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Thus, the learner will reach a degree of independence that will allow him/her to interact in a wide range of communicative situations, developing linguistic-communicative mechanisms, namely the recognition and use of the main lexical-syntactic and syntactic-semantic structures of the language. These structures will allow a greater flexibility and capacity to use the language in less predictable situations. Português em Foco 3 also presents a Teacher`s Book that is organised according to the units of the Student`s Book.
The Português em Foco 3 - Workbook presents a diverse set of exercises that link to the Student Book, consolidating the content developed in each unit. This workbook can be used in class or as extra-class work. It contains various vocabulary exercises, dialogues and texts to work on the contents of each unit, grammar exercises and their solutions.

Licenciada em Línguas e Literaturas Modernas e mestre em Comunicação Educacional Multimédia. Foi docente de Português Língua Estrangeira de 1983 a 2015 no Instituto de Cultura e Língua Portuguesa, na Faculdade de Letras de Lisboa. É também autora de diversos materiais didáticos para o Português Língua Estrangeira.

CARLA OLIVEIRA
Licenciada em Língua e Cultura Portuguesa pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa e especialista na área de Português Língua Estrangeira. Desde 1992, tem lecionado nos cursos de Português para Estrangeiros do Instituto de Cultura e Língua Portuguesa da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa. Nos últimos anos tem-se dedicado à produção de materiais didáticos específicos para o ensino do Português Língua Estrangeira.

JOÃO MALACA CASTELEIRO
Licenciado em Filologia Românica e Doutorado em Linguística Portuguesa pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa. Professor catedrático (jubilado) da mesma faculdade. Autor e coautor de uma vasta bibliografia nos domínios da sintaxe, do léxico, da ortografia e do ensino do Português Língua Materna e Língua Estrangeira.
