Description

Ensino/Aprendizagem do Português como Língua Estrangeira is specially addressed to a public of teachers of Portuguese as a foreign language. Drawing on a corpus of thirteen text books intended for teaching Portuguese as a foreign (or second) language, published in Portugal between 1964 and 2005, we can conclude that there was no straight line progression and that few text-books stressed communication skills. It is now essential to undertake a judicious evaluation of the text-books being produced and to invest in teacher training in this developing area of education.

Iniciou a sua carreira profissional no ensino de português para estrangeiros em 1985. É mestre em Língua e Cultura Portuguesa, na área de especialização em Metodologia do Ensino de Português - LE/L2. É autora de vários materiais de ensino e de apoio ao ensino de português como língua estrangeira. Tem, ainda, participado em diferentes projetos relacionados com o ensino de PL2. Em Setembro de 2010, foi nomeada Coordenadora do Ensino Português no Canadá.
