Description

Campus Universitário is aimed at adult students and young adults of Portuguese as a Foreign Language (PLE), Portuguese as a Second Language (PL2) and Portuguese as a Non-Native Language (PLNM) who wish to develop their knowledge about the language, namely grammar, through comprehension. This book comprises 11 units, which address several topics, while focusing on the specific grammar that tends to be particularly challenging for some learners, especially beginners and elementary students (A1/A2). Developed to be used either in the classroom or autonomously, it includes audio files. Campus Universitário is also the result of some of the most recent research in the field of Second-language Acquisition, bearing in mind the kind of tasks several authors propose for the acquisition of specific grammar contents, based on some essential principles, such as: acknowledging that both meaning and form are significant; the importance of learning grammar through understanding; the role of attention on the gradual acquisition of grammar; and the importance of creating opportunities for personal expression.
