Description
Dicionário Global da Língua Portuguesa is designed to facilitate the learning of this rich language by those who study it as a foreign language, second language or non-native language, and also by naturals of Portuguese-speaking countries. The subtitle, "Autoexplicativo", describes it perfectly because all the words used in the dictionary also appear as entries, so that when the users come across a difficult word, they can look it up in the dictionary itself without needing to consult another information source. It also aims to respond to the wishes of many foreign teachers who teach Portuguese in their own countries and have long wanted a resource of this kind. The arrangement of entries is divided in several sections (Examples - or Proverbs -, Phrases, Idioms and Collocations) in order to help the reader to find quickly what he wants to know. The Portuguese language is among those that are continuing to grow in several continents and becoming ever richer. All the countries that use it as their official language contribute to this process. This dictionary will continue to record those contributions.
