Avançar em Português is a Portuguese for Foreigners course corresponding to level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). This book is aimed at a wide teenage and adult audience who wish to improve their knowledge of and performance in Portuguese through a learning approach that focuses on interaction and communication. Each Unit consists of activities and exercises designed to develop different comprehension and production skills, and ending in each case with a suggested final task. Authors

Ana Tavares
She began her professional career teaching Portuguese to foreigners in 1985. She holds a master`s degree in Portuguese Language and Culture, specializing in Portuguese Teaching Methodology - FL/SL. She is the author of several teaching and support materials for teaching Portuguese as a foreign language. She has also participated in various projects related to teaching PSL. She is currently the Coordinator of Portuguese Teaching in Canada.

Marina Tavares
A secondary school teacher since 1985, she began teaching Portuguese to foreigners in a school context with students from the AFS Intercultural Programs and migrant students enrolled in the Portuguese curriculum. She holds a master`s degree in Portuguese Language and Culture, specializing in Portuguese Teaching Methodology - FL/SL, and has collaborated on projects in the area of ??teaching PSL.
